Overview
Nakupuna Consulting is looking for full-time NEPA Project Manager is to manage a team of Environmental Resources Professionals who will review Environmental Reviews ([*****], Categorical Exclusions, etc.), based on information and documentation provided by others, to ensure that they satisfy all sections of NEPA Compliance.
Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and direct the performance of the NEPA compliance tasks
Coordinate with management, peer, and subordinate staff
Provide supervisory quality review of subordinates' work products
Follow project management discipline and methodology to achieve sustainable results
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications: Ability to professionally interact with managers, coworkers, field operations staff, technical staff, and subcontractors. Capable of supporting development of or writing project descriptions, assembling environmental documentation, clearly describing documentation deficiencies, etc. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Self-motivated, able to function as part of a team, able to think critically. Additionally, must have experience working successfully with communication tools (Outlook and Teams) that will be utilized in the remote setting.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Doctorate in an Environmental field and at least 15 years of experience (12 years with a master's degree or 9 years with a doctorate) in an environmental field.
Demonstrated skills and experience in project management and in a variety of environmental disciplines including but not limited to biological resources, cultural resources, water resources, environmental justice, air quality, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Understanding of federal and state environmental statutory, regulatory, and permitting requirements.
Experience managing technical teams and at least five complex projects, preferably projects involving multiple stakeholders long linear projects, and/or projects with significant controversy.
Experience in all levels of NEPA review, including significant experience managing development, preparation, and publication of EAs and in managing development and preparation of CEs.
Experience managing a remote workforce is a plus.
Certification:
PMP certification is desirable but not required.
Other Requirements:
For remote positions, a reliable high speed internet connection capable of video calls and a dedicated workspace are required. 40 hours per week including expected core working hours between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm ET.
Location: This position is remote.
Security Clearance: This position requires access to government network. Must be able to qualify for and obtain a Tier 1 security clearance.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $105,[*****] to $123,[*****] (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
