Refund Policy for WORKBAY (formally known as, AfriLancers) MARKETPLACE

At WORKBAY MARKETPLACE, our priority is to ensure that both clients and freelancers have a transparent and reliable platform to collaborate. This Refund Policy outlines the procedures and guidelines for requesting and processing refunds.

 

2. Refund Eligibility:

2.1. For potential clients

Clients are eligible for refunds under the following circumstances:

   a. Unsatisfactory Work: If the freelancer fails to deliver work that meets the agreed-upon project requirements and quality standards.

   b. Non-Delivery: In the event that the freelancer does not deliver the work within the mutually agreed-upon timeframe.

   c. Cancellation: If a client cancels a project before any work is initiated and payment has been made.

 

2.2. For potential freelancers:

Freelancers are eligible for refunds in the following cases:

   a. Payment Disputes: If a client fails to release payment for work that has been successfully delivered and meets the project requirements.

   b. Cancellation: If a client cancels a project before any work is initiated and payment has been made, affecting the freelancer's compensation.

 

3. Refund Request Process

3.1. Initiating a Refund Request

To initiate a refund request, users must contact WORKBAY MARKETPLACE Support within 14 days of the issue arising. Provide a clear and detailed explanation of the problem, including project details, communication history, and any relevant files or evidence.

 

3.2. Review and Resolution

WORKBAY MARKETPLACE Support will carefully review all refund requests. We may request additional information or clarification from both parties involved. The resolution process will be fair and impartial.

 

4. Refund Types

4.1. Full Refund

If a refund request is approved, clients will receive a full refund of the project amount, and freelancers will have their earnings adjusted accordingly.

4.2. Partial Refund

In some cases, a partial refund may be issued based on the extent of the issue. The amount to be refunded will be determined by WORKBAY Support.

 

5. Payment Process

Refunds will be processed through the original payment method used for the project. Clients will receive refunds to their payment accounts, and freelancers will see adjustments in their WORKBAY earnings.

 

6. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute or disagreement over a refund request, WORKBAY Support will mediate the issue and make a final decision based on the provided information and our policies.

 

7. Exceptional Cases

Certain situations may arise that are not covered by this Refund Policy. WORKBAY reserves the right to make exceptions and decisions in such cases to ensure fairness and transparency.

 

8. Changes to this Policy

WORKBAY may update this Refund Policy as needed. Users will be informed of any changes through their WORKBAY accounts and associated email addresses.
