📋Job Role:
As an AI / Machine Learning Engineer at MeDic AI, Africa's AI-Powered Healthcare Management System, you will design, develop, and deploy intelligent models that power clinical decision support, symptom analysis, medical imaging interpretation, and predictive healthcare analytics. You will work closely with product managers, healthcare professionals, and software engineers to transform real-world African healthcare challenges into scalable AI solutions. Your role is critical in building secure, ethical, and high-performance AI systems that improve patient outcomes and healthcare efficiency across Africa.
📋Job Responsibilities:
You will build and optimize machine learning models for diagnosis support, treatment recommendations, appointment forecasting, and medical image analysis (X-rays, CT scans, MRIs). You will collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured healthcare data while ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards. You will deploy models into production using scalable cloud infrastructure, continuously monitor performance, retrain models when necessary, and collaborate with the engineering team to integrate AI seamlessly into the MeDic AI platform.
📋Requirements, Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field, with strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, NLP, and computer vision. Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, data engineering, APIs, and cloud platforms is required.
Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of model evaluation and optimization, and understanding of ethical AI principles.
Ideal candidate must have 2–5+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying production-level AI systems, along with experience working with healthcare datasets or regulated environments.
